In 2008, I read a book that radically changed my life and my own perception of who I am as a wife, mother, friend, and leader titled, The Intentional Woman. As we wear those various hats in life, we should be able to see that what we do is relevant whether we are cleaning the house, holding a business meeting, preparing a Bible Study, or taking time out just for our self.
The very first verse listed in Chapter 1 of that book is 2 Thessalonians 1:11 and reads, “We pray for you all the time – pray that our God will make you fit for what He’s called you to be, pray that He’ll fill your good ideas and acts of faith with His own energy so that it all amounts to something.” How often do we wonder if what we do “amounts to something”? How often do we wonder: Do I actually really matter? Is anyone seeing my effort, trials, victories, or defeats? Is what I do actually relevant?
Well, we’re excited to announce that CrossRoads RELEVANT Women’s Ministries strives to be just that: Women Pursuing a Relevant Relationship with God, One Another, and Their Community.
We want to incorporate all women into our ministry where we can find and expand our areas of gifting as we develop our relationship with God, minister and help one another, and become a vital force in our community. We are inviting all the women from CrossRoads Church
1 Peter 4:10 states, “Each of you should use whatever gift you have received to serve others, as faithful stewards of God’s grace in its various forms.” Do you like to cook, decorate, plan events, write, or just help out? God wants you to use whatever you like doing best to serve Him!
